The entertainment industry never ceases to amaze me
The latest news in the legal actions against the Pirate Bay are that the police officer who worked with the one and a half year long investigation, Jim Keyzer, got a job at Warner Brothers Entertainment merely two and a half months after the investigation finished. The same police officer has also been called to testify in the trials. Monique Wadstedt, lawyer at the law firm that represents Warner Brother Entertainment, says: “I guess it’s a sign that Warner Brothers Sweden think Jim Keyzer has done a good job. But it’s not like anything inappropriate has occured during the investigation.” Upon being asked if she does not think the situation is has now become somewhat piquant, she replies: “Yes, maybe it has, or maybe it hasn’t. How do you mean?”
If this doesn’t lead to some sort of legal repercussions, then it’s an outright scandal.
