Summer evening barbequeing, cockchafers, and night-time ocean swimming
Barbeque (I bet the major reason people write “BBQ” is because they don’t know how to spell to the unabbreviated word) on the beach with friends on a summer evening is tremendously nice and all that, but I’m so staying away from one time grills in the future. Seriously, I still have a slightly burning sensation in my mouth from the lighter fluid-smoke-dried salmon filets that I barbequed. I doubt it was very good for me. Well, at least now I’ll know in 20 years why I got cancer. Cuuuuuurse you one time grills, cuuurse you!
A highly entertaining part of the evening was fighting off rather frequent attacks from may bugs (no, I refuse to use the word cockchafer), which are all terribly persistent. It’s especially fun seeing them go after the bug-phobic friend in our gathering, since he runs off flailing his arms wildly, most of the time followed by the may bug, right behind the head (although, to be frank, this didn’t differ very much from the reactions the rest of us had when we heard the helicopter-like buzzing near our ears).
A really nice part was bathing in the ocean. Sure, it felt ridiculously cold at first, but once the initial shock settled down and transformed into a more numbing and tingly sensation it was really quite pleasant. I was actually the only one who dared the ocean properly and even swam around some.

Also, I’m taking a basic web design course this summer. I dunno if I’ll finish it seeing as I’ll be rather busy going to Shanghai for three weeks and all that, but I’ll do my best, and hopefully you’ll be able to see some results in the design of this blog (which now just uses a pre-made theme).

Oh, and apparently, blogging is now good for you!

This image damn near gave me a sore neck while I was working with it. Love the angle though.
[For some reason the jpeg-version of this just looks like shit. Sorry, but I really don't ork to mess around with it any more. The raw version looks so good though!]
